Unique solutions for offset printing presses
At modern printing companies, a high level of press availability, along with reliable, high printing quality are crucial for economic success. With the line of contex cleaning systems made by technotrans AG, users achieve first rate washing results. All contex systems - whether used in sheetfed, web, or newspaper offset printing - will significantly lower operating costs. The reduction in washing agent consumption moreover also has a positive effect on the environment.
More spare cloth, shorter washing cycles and reduced consumption
With the development and design of the cloth-based contex.c cleaning system for sheetfed offset presses, technotrans has introduced new functionality within into this product area. Sophisticated, high-performance washing programs combined with highly accurate solvent dosing guarantees consistent and reproducible washing results. Short washing cycles and an ample cloth supply increases productivity. contex.c does not require a special washcloth. The printing press operator can choose whatever cloth is most efficient from the wide range offered on the market. Even pre-dampened cloths can be used.
The completely new transport mechanism of the contex.c offers an economic advantage, reducing cloth consumption enormously and using up virtually 100% of the material. A new, dust-protected system identifies the end of the cloth and gives the printing press operator a signal in good time, indicating that a replacement is needed. The cleaning rollers can be replaced easily and without any tools. New spindles reduce the weight and make handling more convenient for the printing press operator. An additional advantage is that the wear on the rubber blankets is reduced as a result of a special technique that is used which presses the cloth particularly gently against the surface that is to be cleaned.
The washing bar itself has a lightweight, sturdy and simple design. All the electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components needed for washing are installed in a side panel of the bar. Maintenance is minimal and, when required, can be handled speedily by the printing press operator without any external help.
The slim solution with a long brush
The latest blanket cleaner is the contex.lb (long brush). This cleaning system with a continuous brush roller is especially suited to single-width newspaper, semi-commercial and heatset applications. The contex.lb has an appealing plain and simple design. In addition it boasts a number of innovative features, convincing because of their simplicity and efficiency.
The level of washing liquid used can be controlled precisely thanks to unique dosing technology and a self-adjusting flicker bar, resulting in a reduction of the washing liquid consumption and higher washing quality. The automatic removal of washing residues eliminates the need for labour-intensive cleaning, minimizing maintenance. The supply interfaces are firmly fixed to the printing press. The cleaning unit itself has no attachments, such as drive motors, pipes or cables. It can be locked easily into the press, while at the same time connecting the power and medium supply between the washing unit and the holding system inside the printing press. The entire system can be installed easily, quickly and in a particularly cost-effective manner thanks to the compact supply and disposal technology.
The narrow, moveable brush - well-established in newspaper printing
With the contex.mb (movable brush), another solution from the cleaning systems product range, technotrans offers an economic and efficient solution for fully automatic washing processes in double- and triple-width newspaper printing presses. The system covers the pre-conditioning, intermediate cleaning, run-out and final cleaning of blanket and satellite cylinders.
The narrow, moveable brush ensures the efficient and nearly residue-free disposal of the used liquid, leading to a considerable reduction of wear, maintenance and operating costs. The comparably lightweight, yet sturdy components of the contex.mb make handling very easy and reduce wear and mechanical impact. The system can be installed and dismounted without tools and adjustments are kept at a minimum. As a result, the operating costs and maintenance are reduced considerably. The flexibility of the system enables it to be adapted to various printing units.
The contex.mb uses warm water, which improves the cleaning quality and dissolves paper dust and dirt more easily from the blanket. The liquid that is used during cleaning is continuously extracted virtually residue-free and is collected centrally. This also eliminates spraying and misting during the washing process. In combination with the technotrans ecoclean.line, contex.mb offers an exceptional concept for clean and environmentally-friendly production.
