Project Engineer-Service (f/m)

technotrans america inc. is a leading supplier of accessory equipment to the printing industry. The Company is the U.S. subsidiary of the publicly traded technotrans group with operations in 13 Countries throughout the world. We are seeking a Project Engineer to become a key member of our Service Team at our manufacturing facility in Wheeling, Illinois.

Reporting to the Sr. Project Manager, incumbent will coordinate technical aspects of projects to ensure project/production readiness. Will partner with other functions to meet installation timeframes and adhere to ISO quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide technical design/installation drawing for assigned projects

Serve as project liaison with Engineering and Sales group(s) and execute projects utilizing internal resources to ensure timely installations

Review and verify appropriate equipment selection for assigned product group

Provide accurate and cost effective installation quotes to internal customers

Perform on-site surveys and determine accurate cost quotes and press layout

Review and analyze installation and material costs. Recommend alternate parts and/or design process to initiate cost savings to company

Provide full life-cycle support for all Ink System projects

Provide list of installation materials for all retro spray bars

Troubleshoot customer concerns/questions and dispatch to appropriate individual/department

Support Field Service Technicians for technical issues (liquid relocation and refrigeration issues)

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education Level:

BA/BSME Engineering or AA with 5+ years relevant work experience

Experience:

3+ years hands on experience in mechanical and electrical engineering arena (plumbing desired)

3+ years manufacturing/industrial environment

2+ years AutoCAD

2+ years process engineering

Skills:

Hands-on field experience desired

Strong technical knowledge

Proven ability to manage multi-tasks and to meet extremely tight deadlines
