Cost Accountant (f/m)

technotrans america inc. is a leading supplier of accessory equipment to the printing industry. The Company is the U.S. subsidiary of the publicly traded technotrans group with operations in 13 Countries throughout the world. We are seeking a Cost Accountant to become a key member of our Accounting Team at our manufacturing facility in Wheeling, Illinois.

Reporting the VP of Finance, incumbent will provide accounting support and efforts to all departments within the organization in maintaining standard costs, variance reporting, and analysis generation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance is a must.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with an integrated ERP system would be a plus.
  • SAP experience is highly desired

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Calculate standard labor and overhead rates.
  • Establish standard costs for products and sub-components.
  • Analyze job order and purchasing variances.
  • Analyze gross profits for products produced.
  • Calculate inventory obsolescence reserves.
  • Analyze cycle count adjustments.
